How many browser tabs do you have open on a given day? Do you find yourself keeping them open and just putting your computer to sleep at the end of the day because you need to go back to those sites? Or maybe all of those open tabs are slowing down your computer.

The OneTab browser extension will close all of your open tabs and make a list of links to those pages for you each time you click the button. You can save those collections of tabs and even share them with others. Try this out in your favorite web browser to keep your sites more organized.

From Daniel Stanford:

I’m working on an interactive tool to help faculty visualize their workload and think through which instructional tasks they might cut back on. Faculty are so overextended, and I’ve found they’re extremely grateful when I acknowledge:

  • their bandwidth for new tasks is very limited
  • they shouldn’t feel guilty if they haven’t found time to test NotebookLM, make a custom chatbot, or “AI proof” their assessments
  • they should focus first on fundamentals that have a big impact on student success
  • they’re probably already doing a lot of things right
  • if they can find an hour or two per term to try something new, that should be celebrated

The  is definitely a work in progress, so feel free to leave feedback in the comments or message me.

These large language models are really good with language, so if you need something well-written in a short amount of itme, try out one of the AI tools we have access to, like Gemini, Copilot, or Perplexity.
